Bank card gateways (NLB, CaSys, Halkbank)
The status of the Macedonian bank gateways for online payments, which credentials each needs, and how to ask us to connect yours.
Next to Stripe, Settings, Payment methods lists three local gateways: Halk Bank, NLB Banka and CaSys (Komercijalna & Stopanska banka). They are marked On request.
What "On request" means
These gateways are not live yet. Each bank hands out its integration documents and test credentials to its own merchants, so we finish a gateway together with the first gym that uses it, against that gym's merchant account, including the bank's certification round. Until then:
- You can open the gateway and save your credentials. They are stored encrypted, so the switch-over is immediate once the gateway is live.
- The gateway does not charge cards yet. If it were set as the gateway in use, buyers would see a message that this checkout is not available yet.
So keep Stripe in use, or keep online payments off, until we confirm your bank's gateway is live. See Online payments with Stripe.
For card payments at your reception and at the kiosk, these gateways are not needed: those go through the card terminal. See Card terminal.
What each bank gives you
Ask your bank for an e-commerce (internet payment) merchant account. When it is approved, the bank gives you these values. Each one goes into the matching field in FitManager:
| Gateway | Fields in FitManager |
|---|---|
| Halk Bank | Merchant ID, Merchant Key, Merchant Password |
| NLB Banka | Merchant ID, Terminal ID, Secret Key |
| CaSys (Komercijalna banka and Stopanska banka) | Client ID, Store Key, Terminal ID |
All three use the bank's hosted payment page: the buyer pays on the bank's page and comes back to your site. They support one-time plans. Recurring subscriptions are not available through them.
The bank will also ask for the address it should send payment results to. You find it in FitManager under Webhook endpoint when you open the gateway.
Ask us to connect your bank
- Get your e-commerce merchant account and test credentials from the bank.
- Open a ticket from Support with the subject "Online payments through" and your bank's name. Say which bank, whether you already have the credentials, and attach the integration documents the bank sent you.
- We plan the work with you. Allow one to two working days of development plus the bank's own certification.
- When it is live, open the gateway under Payment methods, enter or check your credentials, switch on Use this gateway for payments and click Save.
Save the credentials now
- Open Settings, Payment methods (under Website if your plan has a website).
- On your bank's card, click Connect.
- Enter the values from the table above.
- Switch Use this gateway for payments off for now, so Stripe stays in use.
- Click Save. The card shows Connected.
